About Rachel

I started practicing authentic Pilates in 1998, and have been an avid Pilates practitioner since that time.  Not only did Pilates change the way I moved, but it also gave me a good stretch and stronger core muscles, that helped me through my pregnancy with twins.  I went on to complete my comprehensive classical instructor certification through Power Pilates in 2009.  An active member of the Authentic Pilates Union, I am also a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher.

In addition, I am also a E-RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance, receiving my teacher training certification in 2011, and am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Introductory Levels I and II since 2019.  

With my commitment to life-long professional development in the authentic Pilates method and Iyengar yoga, and understanding the biomechanics of the body, I continue to participate in workshops and seminars taught by the likes of Bob Liekens, Jay Grimes, Kathi Ross-Nash, Brooke Siler, and Benjamin Degenhardt.  My Iyengar yoga teachers are Sri H.S. Arun, Carolyn Belko, and Abhijata Iyengar.  

My goal is to instruct and share these powerful techniques with you, within a warm, cozy, and friendly environment.
