About Rachel

I started practicing authentic Pilates in 1998, and have been an avid Pilates practitioner since that time.  Not only did Pilates change the way I moved, but it also gave me a good stretch and stronger core muscles, that helped me through my pregnancy with twins.  I went on to complete my comprehensive classical instructor certification through Power Pilates in 2009.  

In addition, I am also a E-RYT 200 through Yoga Alliance, receiving my teacher training certification in 2011, and am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Introductory Levels I and II since 2019.  

With my commitment to life-long professional development in the traditional Pilates method and Iyengar yoga, I continue my movement education with Jay Grimes, Sandy Shimoda, and Blossom Leilani Crawford to name a few.  I am also a graduate of Post Graduate Kathy Grant Heritage Program with Cara Reeser.  My Iyengar yoga teachers are Sri H.S. Arun, Anna Delury, Heather Haxo Phillips, Carolyn Belko, and Abhijata Iyengar.  

My goal is to instruct and share these powerful techniques with you, within a warm, cozy, and friendly environment.
